"I prob'ly have it off...I go so harrrrd!"

Weezy F's taken homoeroticism to anotha level. U gotta love it!

disclaimer: in hindsight the rest of this article has very little to do with Birdman Jr and I reference him merely because, like Lloyd Banks, he makes me smile..NOT.

Seriously though, I need to find me some new interests. My love of TV, movies and hip-hop was all good in the hood as a spritely sprog with no sense of taste beyond watching Frasier coz I thought it showed my cerebralness.

Now however, it's getting harder by the day to justify all the crap I subject myself too. I've got to the point where I'm watching shows/listening to music "tongue-in-cheek"...like watching Chuck Norris/Steve Seagal movies and I'd say Weezy's the Jean-Claude of the game (felt I had to shout son out again). Don't get me wrong, I enjoy his music, but that may be precisely the point. Rambo, Vanilla Ice (well, only the one song), the O.C. season 1 DVD boxset I devoured in 1 weekend during the first year of uni; stuff I think is lame, crap even, but still enjoy; guilty pleasures I'm not very guilty about.

So is there a cure for my affliction? Well, to be honest, I've no intention of finding out-at least not at the minute. I have, however, found the perfect means to justify all the wack juice: become your favourite social commentator and maybe when I'm old and crusty enough, graduate to cultural critic. Like regularly stuffing my face with Micky D's then spewing (seemingly) hyperbolic rants on its general bilginess-but minus the calories. My acerbity needs work, so I'll be needing more TV/ southern hip-hop in my life...

Matter of fact, I've just decided to make the Carter my favourite rapper..need to get me some dreads and Bape shit and eyelid tattoos...no kissing of mentors, though.

Here's a few tracks I'm listening to:

Trae and loadsa southern dudes-Swang rmx
Common and Bilal-Play your cards right (smokin' aces ost)
Kanye verse from Bapetastic collabo with Teriyaki Boys
Big Mos-universal magnetic (from back in '97 I think)
J dilla-won't do (from the shining
Weezy murdering (in a good way) Hov's Show Me What You Got
